Ever read something on the internet and agree with it without checking its veracity? Of course you have!
We all have. Even old philosophy profs!
I would like to hear from readers on the subject. Do you check? How do you check? What online sites are a valuable and quick way to verify BEFORE reposting?
For example, I saw this story this morning:
“An American diplomat named Melanie Honcharenko was found dead shortly before testifying in the impeachment inquiry against U.S. President Donald Trump. ”
True or False??
Or, this one? “The hosts of “Fox & Friends” described children’s TV host Fred Rogers as an “evil, evil man.” ” True or False??
Here are a couple of sites to check stuff:
- Reference, facts, news.
- Snopes. One of the best.
- Canada.

Someone told me Snopes was not always clean, without corruption from different organizations – now I can’t remember who or how.
