  1. You have to experience a work of art in order to judge it. That strikes me as correct. I don’t know how many times I have had someone say that “X is terrible” and when asked if they saw it or read it say “No”. Is that the difference between aesthetic judgments and moral judgments?
    I don’t have to kill someone to know that murder is wrong . . .
