Council can rein in city spending and have fun
Not long ago in the pages of the Daily News I urged our mayor and council to be prudent.
It saddens me that they apparently have paid no heed to my unsolicited advice. Now there is a rumour that they are spending thousands of our tax dollars to have some research group study their behaviour and make recommendations about how to behave in public.
I hear that they are going to move the deck chairs around so that they can better communicate with us.
Let me try again: “In every job that must be done there is an element of fun,” says Mary Poppins to the Banks children while attempting to get them to tidy up their nursery.
Have fun, but be prudent. Please be polite, get along, be adult.
And stop spending money to study things that children in the nursery learn quite easily from their Nanny.
