Cats should be governed the same way as dogs:
THE EDITOR:
When two of my neighbours’ cats ran across my yard looking to stop in the vegetable garden for a quick poo, my dog went ballistic and rushed outside to try once again to teach them some bathroom manners.
Because of this, I think of the upcoming dog licence fee.
Why don’t cat owners have to pay a licence fee?
Why are their animals allowed to run free, pooping and fighting and killing birds day and night?
It’s animal discrimination.
And just think, at $20 a piece, the city could easily raise the $220,000 to restore the mural that Coun. Bill Holdom has come to appreciate. [This reference makes no sense today. But think of the lawyers the City Council could hire with this $$$.]
And they would have some cash left over.
