We are currently seeking a part- to full-time intern to
assist the Narrative team in a range of editorial, technical, design, and outreach projects that will provide an unsurpassed introduction to digital and literary publishing. We’re looking for candidates with a passion for literature, strong writing skills, a knack for social media, and experience in publishing. Interns will have the opportunity to work closely with the editors of the magazine and see the day-to-day operations that make running a literary non-profit possible. Candidates must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area for the duration of the internship. Click here for more information, or send an email stating your interest with your résumé and cover letter. We will accept applications until May 15.
Narrative Magazine is a nonprofit digital platform for storytelling that has been at the vanguard of digital publishing since 2003. We began the magazine with the mission of advancing the literary arts in the digital age by supporting the finest writing talent and encouraging readership across generations, in schools, and around the globe. Narrative publishes more than three hundred writers and artists each year, including established authors such as Tobias Wolff, Joyce Carol Oates, and Sherman Alexie, as well as emerging writers like Kirstin Valdez Quade, Ocean Vuong, and Austin Smith. We are dedicated to compensating writers fairly, while all of Narrative’s content is free for students, teachers, and readers everywhere to enjoy.
Narrative interns are paid a modest stipend.
